Microsoft already shared support for Windows 10 will end in October 2025. In a surprising twist one user took to the platform Reddit not to complain or oppose, but to share a heartfelt poem dedicated to the beloved operating system Windows 10.
Posted in the subreddit r/Windows10, the user got emotional about the end of support for Windows 10, which officially ends on October 14, 2025.
Opinion: Why Windows 10 users are against Windows 11 Upgrade Push?
“It’s a bit silly,” the reddit user admitted, “but I’m getting sad about how well Windows 10 treated me for so long.” With that sentiment, they did what most wouldn’t—they wrote a poem.
Reddit user shares the poem,
twelve years, and not longer
twelve years, with so much ponder
out of so many days, so many nights
the time i’ve spent with you, blinded by your light
i’ve taken you for granted, i really shouldn’t have
when i loved you so much, my other half
without you there would be no me
i’ve loved you, to every degree
through countless nights, countless times
there was no end, endless crimes
we committed felonies
so many treacheries
i’ve ripped you apart, thick and thin
threw you around, hoping for no sin
but all i received was loss
and i could never pay that cost
the loss of you, from all these years
i cannot imagine, only tears
without you by my side
there would be no me, only demise
they killed you, forced you away
so they could monetize from your decay
i will always love you, no matter the price
because you will always be in my heart, don’t ever think twice
While the redditor humbly called it “pretty shit,” the post is drawing reactions & appreciation for the community. It seems even operating systems can leave behind a legacy—and a little heartbreak.
