This decline is noticed since the rise of AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, which provide instant, conversational replies with personalized soltuions to problems.

Since ChatGPT’s launch in November 2022, Stack Overflow has struggled to maintain engagement on its platform. A recent study from Cornivus University in Budapest found that within just six months of the release of ChatGPT, Stack Overflow’s activity had dropped by 25%.
