Google’s NotebookLM Audio Overviews now supports over 50 languages

Google’s NotebookLM Audio Overviews Now Speak Over 50 Languages!

Google has pushed a new update to NotebookLM. The AI-powered research assistant now supports Audio Overviews in more than 50 languages. It makes information more accessible to users worldwide.

Google’s NotebookLM, which expanded globally last year, allows users to upload documents, articles, and study materials, transforming them into podcast-style audio summaries. With this new update, users can select their preferred language for audio and chat responses, ensuring a seamless multilingual experience.

Powered by Google’s Gemini AI, the Audio Overviews feature enables users to generate summaries in languages like Hindi, Turkish, Afrikaans, Arabic, Japanese, and many more. This particularly helps educators, researchers, and students working with content in multiple languages.

For example, a teacher preparing a lesson on the Amazon rainforest can upload resources in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, and NotebookLM will generate an audio narration in the selected language, making complex topics easier to grasp.

The update adds a new “Output Language” setting, allowing users to switch languages. Whether you’re studying, teaching, or simply exploring new topics, this feature ensures that language is no longer a barrier to learning.
