In an internal memo that has since gone viral, Kaufman warned his employees that artificial intelligence is reshaping the workforce much faster, and those who fail to adapt will be left behind.
Kaufman’s message wasn’t just about Fiverr—it was a broader statement on the future of work & AI. He emphasized that AI will disrupt roles across the industries, from programmers and designers to lawyers and customer support representatives.
He also admitted even his own position as CEO, is not immune before AI’s growing influence.
“AI is coming for your jobs. Heck, it’s coming for my job too. This is a wake-up call,” Kaufman shared publicly on X.
The memo outlined a clear strategy for survival in this AI-driven era. Kaufman urged employees to master AI tools relevant to their fields, connect with experts, and rethink their productivity benchmarks. He even declared that “Google is dead”, emphasizing the importance of prompt engineering and GenAI.
His warning comes at a time when other tech leaders, including Shopify’s CEO, have issued similar statements about AI’s impact on hiring and job security. This is no longer theoretical—AI is actively changing industries, and Kaufman’s memo serves as a reminder that adaptation is key to survival.
