Chinese AI startup Synyi AI has launched the world’s first AI-powered doctor clinic in Saudi Arabia. This AI clinic is part of a pilot program in collaboration with Almoosa Health Group, located in the eastern province of Al-Ahsa,.
An AI doctor named Dr. Hua is currently interacting with the patients. Dr. Hua is designed to autonomously diagnose and prescribe treatments for patients.
Patients describe their symptoms using a tablet computer, and Dr. Hua follows up with relevant questions, analyzing medical history and images with the assistance of human staff. Once the consultation is complete, the AI generates a treatment plan, which is reviewed and approved by a human doctor before finalizing the prescription.

Currently, Dr. Hua specializes in respiratory illnesses, covering around 30 diseases such as asthma and pharyngitis. Synyi AI plans to expand its capabilities to include 50 respiratory, gastroenterological, and dermatological conditions in the near future.
The clinic is currently running for free for the patients during the trial phase, with diagnostic data being submitted to Saudi authorities for approval before commercial rollout.
Synyi AI was founded in 2016, and has worked with over 800 hospitals and medical institutions in China. They are utilizing AI for medical diagnostics, data management, and research. The company is backed by major investors, including Tencent, Hongshan Capital, and GGV Capital.
As the trial progresses, the world watches closely to see if AI clinics will be accpeted for realworld medical conditions. If successful, Synyi AI’s model could be a role model for ai driven medical service.
